Wales vs Denmark 17/11/18

17 November 2018

Wales and Denmark are set to face-off against each other at the Cardiff City Stadium, as the hosts hope to retain top spot in the UEFA Nations League Group B/4.

The first meeting between the two sides has ended 2-0 in favor of Denmark, with Christian Eriksen scoring both goals for his team.

In spite of that loss, the Dragons currently top the group, as they’ve defeated the Republic of Ireland in both encounters, scoring five while conceding one goal in the process. However, during the last international break, Ryan Giggs’ players have suffered a frustrating 4-1 failure against Spain in a friendly challenge, which was their fifth defeat in the previous ten games. Wales’ principal problem concerns their poor defensive displays, considering they’ve managed to keep a clean sheet just three times in the last ten meetings. The situation in attack is anything but better, as Wales failed to find the back of the net in three out of the past six matches.

On the other hand, after some arguments between the national team and the DBU that saw them losing 3-0 to Slovakia in a friendly encounter, the Danish Dynamite have wrapped up two wins in the following three games. Moreover, Age Hareide’s players haven’t conceded a goal in the last three matches, having scored a brace two times in the process. The Tin Soldiers have seven clean sheets in the past twelve meetings across all competitions, while they’ve failed to find the back of the net five times in that period. However, Denmark have disappointed in the previous five road games, having lost three times while playing out two draws in the process.
