Tottenham Hotspur vs Nottingham Forest

Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forest will lock horns at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in an exciting Premier League match-up.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Champions League journey ended abruptly in midweek as the first scoreless draw in 147 competitive home games condemned them to European elimination at the hands of AC Milan. Back to the Premier League, where they occupy the last Champions League qualifying spot, three points clear of fifth-placed Liverpool, ‘Spurs’ are looking to bounce back from a disheartening 1-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers. Antonio Conte’s men have won their last three home league matches ‘to nil’ and could make it four in a row without conceding for the first time since 2018 under Maurizio Pochettino. Interestingly, the Londoners are one of only two Premier League sides yet to draw a top-flight match in 2023, registering five wins and five defeats, which probably best illustrates their topsy-turvy campaign.

In the meantime, Nottingham Forest fought back twice to hold fellow relegation rivals Everton to an action-packed 2-2 away draw last time out, holding onto a four-point lead on the drop zone. But Steve Cooper’s men have alternated between drawing (2) and losing (2) in their last four Premier League outings since a 1-0 home win over Leeds United in early February. Playing away from home will unlikely help them consolidate their survival hopes, considering they’ve amassed a league joint-low six points on the road (W1, D3, L8) and scored fewer away goals (3) than any other side in the division. It gets worse, as the ‘Tricky Trees’ have suffered eight defeats on their last ten Premier League visits to London (W1, D1), including three this season by an aggregate score of 11-0.
