Tottenham Hotspur vs Arsenal 12/07/20

12 July 2020

Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal will lock horns at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in a massive all-London Premier League showdown this weekend.

A lack of goals since the resumption of football has seen Tottenham score under 1.5 goals in four of five Premier League fixtures since June (W2, D2, L1), with three of the five goals they managed across those matches arriving beyond the hour mark. Unbeaten in three consecutive league home games (W2, D1), Spurs can be confident of maintaining that run considering they’ve won three of their last five top-flight home H2Hs (D2). The match hosts have restricted Arsenal to a maximum of one goal per game in four of those five clashes, which has been the case in their last three Premier League home outings, too. Curiously, the majority (64.71%) of Tottenham’s home matches this season have ended separating the sides by under 1.5 goals (11/17).

Meanwhile, the visitors travel across the town after racking up four Premier League games without a loss (W3, D1), with each of those victories yielding a clean sheet and a multiple-goal margin. In turn, three of Arsenal’s previous four league trips have seen the winner on the day score over 1.5 goals and keep a blank sheet. The Gunners feel much more comfortable after the break, which is why 68.42% (13) of their Premier League away goals scored this season arrived in the second half of play. On the contrary, four of Arsenal’s last five goals scored on the road against Tottenham have come before the halftime break.
