Tottenham vs Arsenal 10/02/18
10 February 2018
Tottenham Hotspur host Arsenal at Wembley, expecting to get a positive result and enhance their Champions League promotion hopes. The Gunners are full of confidence following the stunning 5-1 victory over Everton at the Emirates last week, with the new signing, Piere-Emerick Aubameyang opened his scoring account on the debut.
On the other hand, The Spurs have barely managed to avoid defeat against Liverpool at Anfield, as Harry Kane scored the late penalty to cancel out Mohamed Salah’s brilliant goal. Still, they are looking to extend the unbeaten home record to 12 consecutive games, while Arsenal’s last away win goes back to December against Crystal Palace.
Both sides desperately need a positive outcome to keep up the pace with Chelsea and Liverpool, but considering the Gunners’ recent defensive performances, only a miracle can save them from Kane and Christian Eriksen.
The Brazilian winger Lucas Moura, who has recently arrived at Wembley is expected to make his first appearance in the Premier League, but Mauricio Pochettino still can’t count on Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose, both recovering from injuries.
Arsene Wenger will have the full squad available, except Santi Cazorla, who won’t be able to return to action until the end of the season
