Suwon FC vs Jeju United
Suwon Sports Complex sets the stage for a bottom-half K League 1 meeting between Suwon FC and Jeju United.
Suwon recovered from a halftime deficit in a 1-1 draw at Seoul last weekend, though the result did little to improve their standing in the K League 1 table. With only three wins from the opening 15 rounds (D6, L6), the hosts languish in the lower reaches, trailing sixth-placed Gwangju by seven points before this midweek round. They’ll likely relish the upcoming home return after winning three of their last four league games at Suwon Sports Complex (L1), all of which saw them score at least two goals. Topically, they’ve won back-to-back home league H2Hs with Jeju, netting 2+ goals each time, having won none of their previous four on this ground (D2, L2).
In the meantime, Jeju United’s barren run continued with a 0-0 home draw against Jeonbuk Motors last weekend, making it six consecutive league games without winning for the out-of-sorts visitors (D2, L4). A lack of firepower saw the visiting team score a meager average of 0.5 goals per game, failing to net multiple goals in all six! Jeju’s notorious scoring woes have come to the fore on hostile turf this season, as they’ve averaged only 0.42 goals per away league match, failing to score in three of their four such fixtures. Furthermore, they’ve only opened the scoring once on seven K League 1 travels in 2025. Therefore, it’s barely surprising they’ve yet to win on the road this term (D3, L4).
