Celtic will be looking to post a 13th straight Premiership win over St Mirren when the two clubs face off against each other at The Simple Digital Arena this midweek.

The hosts have endured mixed fortunes at the beginning of the new league season (W2, D1, L3), as they come into this round after failing to pick up a win in three consecutive Premiership fixtures (D1, L2). A genuine lack of firepower up front has seen St Mirren draw a blank in three of their opening season league matches and score precisely once per game in the other three. But, if they do get on the scoresheet here, the ‘Buddies’ are likely to fire one in early on. Indeed, each of their three top-flight goals scored so far arrived before or on the half-hour mark. Scoring against Celtic proved to be quite daunting for St Mirren, though, as they’ve failed to find the net in eight of their last 11 Premiership H2Hs held at this venue.

Additionally, seven of Celtic’s nine top-flight trips this calendar year have resulted in a win (D2), five of which yielded a full-time margin of 2+ goals.
