Sevilla vs Manchester United 22/02/18

22 February 2018

At the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, Sevilla are set to host the Premier League giants, Manchester United in the first leg of the Champions League knockout stages. La Liga side is determined to keep good home-record since they haven’t lost five times in a row, but the EPL heavyweights have failed to leave up to expectations in the national championship, and they need to impress in Europe.
The Andalusian team is experiencing troubles in the attack, since they have only netted nine goals in their last five home games, and they need to raise their game if looking to get the ball past David De Gea. The Red Devils allowed the opponents to score only three times in their last six road matches, and they are hoping to maintain great defensive performances in the Champions League, where they’ve only conceded three goals in the group stages.

Ever Banega has suffered a leg injury, and he won’t be included in the Sevilla squad, while Sebastien Corchia, Nicolas Pareja, Joaquin Correa, Jose Mena, and Nolito could still be ready for the match.

On the other hand, Jose Mourinho can’t count on Marouane Fellaini, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Phil Jones, and Marcos Rojo. Marcus Rashford, Ander Herrera, and Daley Blind are all in doubt, which sees the visitors pretty decimated, but Paul Pogba could start the game from the first minute, as he has successfully recovered from illness.
