Sassuolo vs Juventus 11/02/19
11 February 2019
Unbeaten in their last three Serie A clashes (W1, D2), Sassuolo prepare to take on Juventus at the Mapei Stadium – Città del Tricolore looking to break Juve’s six-game winning run in H2H meetings.
The hosts are not going through the best of times having secured just one triumph in their last seven games across all competitions (W1, D3, L3). However, a promising thing is they’ve managed to bounce back from three consecutive defeats in which they’ve conceded 11 goals while scoring just three in the process. One victory in their previous eight SA home clashes (W1, D5, L2) can’t console Roberto De Zerbi either, especially given the fact his managed only two clean sheets during the sequence. If victories lacked, goals certainly didn’t, as 64% of Sassuolo’s home clashes have produced over 2.5 match goals, while 8 of 11 of their home games have seen goals on both ends.
Meanwhile, arriving in the province of Modena as the only unbeaten Italian team (W19, D3), the reigning holders are looking to post their third successive road win over the struggling hosts. The Bianconeri boast an almost perfect road record (W9, D1), with five of their nine away wins seeing Massimiliano Allegri’s men beating their rivals to nil. Only one team has scored more goals away from home than the Turin giants (21) this term, with the Old Lady bagging over 1.5 goals per match on nine SA road trips so far. Moreover, Juventus (7) have conceded fewer goals on the road than any other Italian side, keeping a clean slate in five of ten SA away meetings.
