Sassuolo vs Juventus 16/07/20
16 July 2020
Juventus travel to the Mapei Stadium – Città del Tricolore to take on Sassuolo, looking to extend an unbeaten run in the Serie A H2Hs to nine games (W7, D1).
Sassuolo’s significant upturn in form has seen them go from three Serie A matches without a win (D2, L1) to four consecutive triumphs, as they enter the round six points adrift of sixth-placed Napoli. The ‘Neroverdi’ have been an exciting side to watch since the resumption of football in June, with each of their seven Serie A games post restart featuring over 2.5 goals and both teams scoring. In turn, the Mapei Stadium has been a venue of entertainment this season, as 14 of Sassuolo’s 15 league matches held here have produced three goals or more, with 12 seeing both teams on the scoresheet, too.
Meanwhile, the visitors got off to a flying start to the post-pandemic campaign, putting together four Serie A triumphs, all of which came via at least a two-goal margin. However, runaway league leaders take the field after failing to pick up a win in two Serie A games (D1, L1), both of which saw them concede over 1.5 goals. Still, the ‘Bianconeri’ remain one of two teams yet to concede 20 goals on the road this season (19), despite keeping a clean sheet in only four of 16 Serie A trips so far. Against this backdrop, Juventus have restricted Sassuolo to a maximum of one goal per match in each of their six top-flight away H2Hs (W4, D1, L1).
