Roma vs Inter Milan 03/12/18

03 December 2018

Sunday’s Serie A action concludes with a blockbuster, heavyweight clash at the Stadio Olimpico as AS Roma look to take on Inter Milan.

The Nerazzurri won six out of their previous seven Serie A matches and now tackle a vulnerable Roma side that has picked up one victory in their last five league encounters.

The Giallorossi are struggling with continuity and consistency this season, as they currently sit 7th in the table with a record of five wins, four draws, and four losses. Wholly outplayed and eventually beaten by Udinese last time out, La Lupa must secure all three points to keep up the pace with the Europe promotion zone teams. This season, Eusebio Di Francesco’s players have managed to bounce back from a Serie A loss with an immediate triumph just once, which seems to be their major problem. Roma’s defensive frailties have seen them concede nine goals in six home matches, as they have failed to keep a clean sheet five times in the run. However, Dzeko and his fellow Roma colleagues have scored a minimum of two goals on five occasions at the Stadio Olimpico so far, bagging 16 goals in the process.

On the other hand, the visitors have racked up four consecutive road wins, during which they have kept three clean sheets, before suffering a disastrous 4-1 loss to Atalanta. With a record of nine wins, one draw, and three defeats, the Milanese heavyweights are on their way of securing back-to-back Champions League appearance, as they currently sit third in the table with a 6-point lead over fifth-placed AC Milan. Luciano Spalletti’s crew have conceded ten goals in their opening 13 Serie A matches, as only Juventus shipped fewer goals than them so far. However, the Nerazzurri have failed to keep a clean sheet seven times in their last eight visits to the Stadio Olimpico.
