Real Madrid vs Juventus 05/08/18

5 August 2018

After suffering a 2-1 defeat to Manchester United in their opening summer friendly, Real Madrid will face off against Juventus at the FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland as part of their United States tour. After winning their third successive Champions League title, Los Blancos have lost their best player and club’s symbol Cristiano Ronaldo who joined the Old Lady precisely, and the Portuguese star might make his debut for Massimiliano Allegri’s team against his old club. On the other hand, the Black and Whites already achieved two victories in the International Champions Cup this summer, as they have defeated Benfica on penalties after the match ended in a 1-1 draw, while they have also managed to beat Bayern Munich by two goals to nil in their first summer’s friendly. The 34 times Serie A champions have also played against the MLS All-Stars, recording another tough win after a penalty shoot-out, but it will be the first time since the end of the season that Allegri will have the opportunity to count on almost entire first-team players.

Lucas Vasquez, Daniel Carvajal, and Keylor Navas who spent the whole game with the Red Devils on the bench might start from the first minute, while it is yet to be seen whether Ronaldo should be included in the starting line-up or he would stay on the bench.
