Osasuna vs Sevilla 09/12/19

9 December 2019

Osasuna welcome an in-form Sevilla to the Estadio El Sadar, hoping to put an end to their dismal four-game losing run in La Liga (LL) H2Hs.

Osasuna’s recent league matches have overseen a lot of action, with five of their last six LL games featuring at least three goals and seeing both teams score. Additionally, four of those matches have produced over 3.5 total goals, featuring a minimum of two second-half goals. A 2-1 loss to Athletic Bilbao aside, the returnees have been quite impressive at home this term, avoiding defeat in all six of their remaining LL home outings (W3, D3). But, it might change now, given that they’ve lost both of their previous top-flight home H2Hs with Sevilla, with both of those defeats coming via a single goal margin and seeing Osasuna hit the net at least once per match.

Meanwhile, the visitors travel to Pamplona on a run of three straight league victories, all of which have come via a narrow one-goal margin. In fact, three of Sevilla’s last five LL wins have seen them beat their rivals by the exact 1-0 score. Even though they’ve lost two of eight LL road trips this term (W5, D1, L2), the Andalusian giants remain the best traveling side in Spain’s top-tier. Still, the fact that they’ve shipped nine of their total 14 LL goals conceded away from home could trouble Julen Lopetegui (64%). Los Nervionenses have kept a clean sheet only once in their last six competitive away games, conceding over 1.5 match goals on three of those occasions.
