Napoli and Roma will face off against each other at the Stadio San Paolo this weekend in what may as well be a high-scoring Serie A contest. All of their last four top-flight H2Hs have seen both teams score, with three producing over 2.5 goals, too.

Napoli’s five-game winning run in Serie A has suffered a setback last time out, as they succumbed to a 2-0 away loss to Atalanta, which has been the first time since late January that they’ve failed to find the net in a league match. At home in Serie A, none of Napoli’s last eight fixtures has ended in a stalemate (W3, L5), with seven of them seeing over 2.5 goals and both teams on the scoresheet. But, the hosts will be desperate to avoid conceding the opener, as they lost all five of their league home games in which they’ve shipped the opening goal. In turn, the ‘Giallorossi’ have endured mixed fortunes in their last six Serie A road trips (W3, L3), with five of those fixtures featuring over 2.5 goals and both teams scoring. Roma’s action away from home usually sparks into life after the halftime break, as 58.14% (25) of the league away goals (scored/conceded) so far arrived in the second half of play. But, a genuine lack of defensive quality has seen Roma concede over 1.5 goals in four of five Serie A road trips this calendar year.
