Atletico Madrid will look to extend an unbeaten run in their La Liga (LL) H2Hs with Levante to six games (W4, D1) when the two sides meet at the Estadi Olimpic Camilo Cano this midweek.

A 3-1 away triumph over Espanyol last time out brought Levante’s four-game winless (D3, L1) league run to a halt and also marked a fourth consecutive LL match in which they’ve shipped precisely once. In turn, the Frogs have avoided defeat in five of their last six LL home fixtures (W3, D2), restricting their opponents to under 1.5 goals in each. But, the clean-sheet theme seems to be off the table here, given that Levante have conceded two goals or more in three of their last four top-flight H2Hs held at this venue (W1, D2, L1). Levante’s home action usually sparks into life after the break, with 66.67% (22) of the 33 LL home goals (scored/conceded) so far coming in the second half of play. 

On the other hand, the visitors come into this clash unbeaten in eight consecutive league games (W4, D4), with three of their four victories during that eight-game sequence yielding a clean sheet. However, Los Colchoneros have failed to impress on the road in 2020, picking up just a single win from six LL road trips since the turn of the year (D3, L2). Also, first-half goals have been at a premium for Atletico on the road this campaign, with eight of their 15 LL away matches producing a 0-0 halftime scoreline, although each of their last four such fixtures have featured at least one goal before the break.
