Leganes vs Real Betis 19/05/18
19 May 2018
After three consecutive defeats in La Liga, Leganes will face off Real Betis at the Estadio Municipal de Butarque looking to end a miserable streak in the final game of the season. The Legionaries have secured their spot among the Spanish top flight for another year despite being recognized the likely candidates for relegation but the last few months have been a disaster for them, considering they’ve won just three out of the previous ten league matches, two of them at home. Los Verdiblancos, on the other hand, have defied the odds, wrapping up the Europa League promotion by showing tremendous character and devotion. The Seville based club have won three out of last five games on the road, losing only to Athletic Bilbao in the process, while Leganes lost two out of previous seven encounters at home, losing two times to Valencia and Levante. Two sides faced each other at the Estadio Benito Villamarín back in January, with Betis walking away with all three points after a five-goal thriller.
Alexander Szymanowski is the only injured player in the home squad, while the visitors experience huge problems with absences, as Zouhair Feddal, Francis Guerrero, Antonio Adán, Dani Giménez, and Firpo Junior are all ruled out with injuries.
