Stadio Olimpico is the venue as Lazio and Juventus go head-to-head in Serie A’s top-four six-pointer.

In doing so, ‘I Biancocelesti’ drew level on points with fourth-placed Juventus, increasing their chances of securing a sought-after Champions League qualification. However, the impending home return won’t guarantee three more points, considering Lazio’s last five Serie A games at the Olimpico have ended level, putting them at risk of drawing six consecutive home league outings for the first time since 1991. Still, their recent home record against Juventus should banish negative thoughts, with Marco Baroni’s side winning their last three H2Hs in Rome. With Lazio the only six whose every home league match in 2024/52 featured 2+ goals, fans should be in for a treat. 

Entertainment is the last thing Igor Tudor cares about now after a 1-1 draw at Bologna left his side grappling with three other sides in a nerve-shredding top-four tussle. Only two wins from their past five league games (D2, L1) cannot inspire much confidence, as Juventus bid to complete their first league double over Lazio since 2018/19 following a narrow 1-0 win in this season’s reverse fixture. The Turin heavyweights have been particularly sloppy on the road, dropping points in their last seven away meetings with current top-nine teams (D5, L2). Therefore, the record-time Italian champions cannot take anything for granted, especially considering they’ve not scored more than once in away league action since the start of February.
