Lazio vs Juventus 04/03/18

04 March 2018

Lazio will host Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico in a derby match of the Serie A 26th round praying for a positive outcome to keep their Champions League qualification hopes alive. The White and Sky Blues have regained their confidence after three defeats in a row, with two comfortable victories over Verona and Sassuolo, but playing against the defending champions will be far more complicated. The Old Lady have secured the Coppa Italia final after beating Atalanta, but they need to achieve all three points in Rome, as they are trailing Napoli by four points. Massimiliano Allegri’s team has won their last nine road games in all competitions, conceding just one goal in the process, while Lazio scored in each of their previous nineteen home encounters prior a 0-0 draw with Milan last Wednesday. Although they are in great form, Juventus will have to provide their best performances against Lazio to whom they have lost two consecutive head-to-head meetings.

Simone Inzaghi has his entire squad available for Saturday’s clash, except Adam Marusic, who picked up a red card against Sassuolo last weekend. In the meantime, the visitors are set to play without Federico Bernardeschi and Juan Cuadrado, both sidelined by injuries.
