Juventus vs Udinese

Juventus will put their Serie A top-four ambitions on the line when they take on mid-table strugglers Udinese at the Allianz Stadium.

Consecutive 1-1 draws against direct Serie A top-four rivals Bologna and Lazio have compromised Juventus’ hopes of securing Champions League qualification. Nonetheless, they’re still masters of their destiny, as they entered this round in fourth, albeit level on points with fifth-placed Lazio and only one clear of sixth-placed Roma. Therefore, Igor Tudor’s men cannot afford a slip-up against Udinese, a side they’ve defeated in 12 of their last 15 top-flight H2Hs (D2, L1). Furthermore, the record-time Italian champions boast an indomitable home record in 2025, having won seven of their eight league outings in Turin this calendar year (D1), including all three since Tudor’s appointment. As such, the Croat could become only the third Juventus manager in the last 55 years to win their first four Serie A home games in the dugout.

Meanwhile, Udinese’s quest to lock down a top-half final placing in Serie A for the first time since 2012/13 took a fatal blow last weekend as they lost 2-1 at home to an already-relegated Monza. Six defeats from their previous eight league outings (W1, D1) paint a bleak picture ahead of this clash, but Kosta Runjaic’s side can draw confidence from famously beating Juventus on this ground last season. It’s been before the early 1990s since Udinese last won back-to-back away league games against this opposition, highlighting the magnitude of the task ahead. However, the Friulians posted a 2-1 win at Cagliari on their most recent Serie A road trip to end a three-game losing away run in the competition. Yet, that was only their second league triumph on hostile turf in 2025 (D3, L4).
