Juventus vs Manchester United 08/11/18

08 November 2018

The two European giants are set to face-off against each other at the Allianz Stadium, with Juventus looking to host Manchester United in the Champions League Group H.

The first leg between the two sides has ended 1-0 in Juventus’ favor although United had some chances to dodge a failure. The Bianconeri are the only team along with Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund to record a maximum of nine points. Furthermore, the Italian giants are the only team next to Dortmund that have kept a clean sheet in all three matches. Before a narrow 1-0 win at Old Trafford, the Old Lady secured two comfortable victories over Valencia and Young Boys, as they currently top the table and are just two points away from mathematically ensuring their place in the round of 16.

On the other hand, the Red Devils have started their Champions League journey off on the right foot, having outplayed Young Boys on the road, but they’ve failed to replicate the same performance against the Bats, only playing out a scoreless draw at home. With 4 points after the opening three fixtures, the Premier League heavyweights have to dodge a failure in Turin if looking to prevent the Spanish outfit from bridging the gap. However, considering the fact, Jose Mourinho’s players have failed to keep a clean sheet in the previous five encounters, allowing their opponents seven goals in that period, it seems highly unlikely they will walk away from the Allianz Stadium with any points in their pocket if they don’t score.
