Jeonbuk Motors vs Incheon United 13/06/20
13 June 2020
K League 1 toppers Jeonbuk Motors welcome rock-bottom Incheon United to the Jeonju World Cup Stadium, looking to extend their unbeaten run in top-flight H2Hs to six games (W3, D2).
The hosts have won four of their opening five league fixtures (L1), with three of those results (win/loss) yielding a single-goal margin. Additionally, the reigning champions have won both of their K League 1 home matches this season without conceding a goal, with the opening goal across those games continually arriving in the second half. Four of Jeonbuk’s seven competitive matches since the turn of the year have seen over 2.5 goals and both teams on the scoresheet. That’s, however, a sharp contrast to their recent top-flight H2Hs. Indeed, all three of their previous league H2H clashes have featured under 2.5 goals, with Incheon drawing a blank in each.
The visitors, meanwhile, are still seeking their elusive first win of the new season, having gone from back-to-back draws to three consecutive defeats. Incheon now face an uphill task of finding their first success of the season, as they take on a side they’ve failed to win against in five of their last top-flight away H2Hs (D3, L2). Frustratingly for the traveling fans, Incheon have failed to find the net in three of five K League 1 matches this term, with both of their top-flight goals coming inside the opening half an hour. In turn, the ‘Mariners’ have drawn a blank in four consecutive league away games, last season included.
