Internazionale are set to take on Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza this midweek.

The hosts have failed to pick up a win in three of their last four competitive outings (W1, D3), with each of those draws coming via the identical 1-1 score, including last weekend’s one with Cagliari at this venue. Also, Antonio Conte’s men have won just twice in their previous six home fixtures in all competitions (W2, D3, L1), with four of those matches seeing both teams score. However, the Nerazzurri have defeated Fiorentina in all three of their last H2Hs held here, finding the net in both halves on each of those occasions. Inter are unlikely to be denied here too, given that they’ve scored in all but one their last ten home outings, netting over 1.5 match goals six times along the way.

Meanwhile, the visitors have overseen an upturn in results recently, putting together five games without a loss in all competitions (W3, D2). Only one of those five matches has produced over 2.5 goals, but the Viola have still managed to open the scoring in four. But, that’s a sharp contrast to Fiorentina’s recent openings against Inter. Indeed, they’ve shipped the opener in four of their previous five clashes against the Milan outfit, failing to turn things around in each (D2, L2). Also, Giuseppe Iachini’s players have lost three of their last five road trips (W1, D1), with two of those results (win/loss) yielding a multiple-goal margin. Curiously, three of six goals they’ve scored during that five-game sequence have arrived on or beyond the 75th minute.
