Huesca vs Real Betis 06/01/19
06 January 2019
Huesca and Real Betis go head-to-head at the Estadio El Alcoraz as the returnees chase their elusive first home triumph this term.
Huesca are the only team in the Spanish top tier competition that is yet to secure all three point at home this campaign (D4, L4). Furthermore, the hosts have failed to keep a clean sheet in all eight home clashes so far, struggling to hit the back of the net three times in the process. Their defensive frailties have seen them concede in each La Liga game this season, with Francisco Rodriguez’s men allowing over 1.5 goals per match seven times in their last eight competitive outings. Plus, Huesca’s tally of 11 losses is by far the worst in La Liga, as they also remain the only side that managed just one triumph after the opening 17 league fixtures.
On the other hand, the visitors are unbeaten in their last seven games across all competitions (W5, D2) having managed to keep a clean sheet five times during the run. However, Betis’ indifferent road form (W3, D2, L3) could be a problem for Quique Setien, who has seen his players losing three out of their last five away meetings. The Verderones have failed to keep a clean sheet on the previous five LL road trips, conceding over 1.5 goals per match three times in the process. All of Betis’ last three games away from home produced over 2.5 goals, with Verderones scoring over 2.5 goals per match in two. Los Verdiblancos have won their last road encounter as they look to post back-to-back away LL wins for the first time this season.
