Genoa and AS Roma will face-off at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris in contrasting circumstances. While the hosts fight tooth and nail to remain in the Italian top tier, the visitors try to battle their way to the Champions League.

In spite of their run of poor form, the hosts still reside six points clear of the relegation territory, with four league fixtures left to play. I Rossoblu have lost four of their last six Serie A outings (D2, L4), which makes their goal of snapping a disastrous nine-game winless run in SA H2Hs with Roma almost impossible (D1, L8). For Genoa, goals have been at a premium since late February. They have failed to score in seven of their previous ten SA games, netting over 1.5 match goals just once in the process. Meanwhile, the visitors’ pursuit of a top-four finish has been handed a major boost over their past five SA meetings (W3, D2), as they now trail fourth-placed Atalanta by a single point. Interestingly, all three of the Giallorossi’s previous SA wins have seen them beat their rivals to nil, with two of those triumphs ending with the same 1-0 scoreline. However, La Lupa’s problems when away from home can be a setback here, given that Claudio Ranieri’s men have picked up just one win on their last five road trips across all competitions (W1, D1, L3). More importantly, Edin Dzeko and Co. have netted one goal or less across all of those games, allowing over 1.5 match goals three times in the process.
