France vs Bolivia 03/06/19

3 June 2019

France and Bolivia will face-off at Stade de la Beaujoire for a friendly meeting in quite contrasting circumstances. While the hosts won all three of their last games, the visitors have struggled to pick up a triumph in six consecutive outings (D3, L3).

Ever since a 2-0 loss to the Netherlands back in November 2018, the reigning World Cup champions have gone from strength to strength, with both of their previous wins saw them score precisely four goals per match. France’s devastating attack has scored over 1.5 match goals in six of their last nine games across all competitions, struggling to find the net twice in the process though. A potential worry for Didier Deschamps could be that Les Bleus have failed to keep a clean sheet in five of their previous seven outings, allowing over 1.5 match goals twice though.

Meanwhile, the visitors come into this encounter after suffering two straight defeats, both by the identical 1-0 scoreline. Bolivia’s poor run of form has seen them pick up just one win in their previous 15 games (W1, D7, L7). Unprolific in the final third, the South Americans have struggled to score in four of their last six outings, netting over 1.5 match goals just once in that period. The one thing that can encourage Eduardo Villegas is that his players have managed to restrict their opponents to one goal per match four times in the same sequence.
