Fiorentina vs AS Roma 04/11/18
04 November 2018
The weekend’s showdown between Fiorentina and AS Roma at the Stadio Artemio Franchi will see the hosts hoping to end a 3-game Serie A winless streak.
Both sides share the same league record, as they have four wins, three draws, and three losses apiece although Fiorentina have a slightly better goal difference.
The Viola are still undefeated at home, having won four out of five matches in Florence, and with a +11 goal difference, they hold the best home record in the Italian top flight at the minute. The Tuscan-based outfit have bagged at least one goal in each game at Artemio Franchi, notching a brace three times in the process. Moreover, the Lilies have kept a clean sheet in three home matches, while they are yet to allow more than one goal in front of the local crowd. However, just 30% of Fiorentina’s league meetings have ended with 3 or more goals, which is the 2nd-lowest record in the league, behind Cagliari.
On the other hand, 50% of Roma’s Serie A games have produced more than two goals although only 10% of Giallorossi’s away meetings ended with three goals. La Lupa failed to keep a clean sheet in three out of five road matches, and they’ve struggled to clinch a victory in each of those encounters. Moreover, Eusebio Di Francesco’s players have immense scoring problems away from the Stadio Olimpico, considering they’ve notched just one brace on the road, which puts them in rank with the likes of Bologna, Chievo, Empoli, Parma, and SPAL. Additionally, the club from the capital failed to keep a clean sheet in the previous four league clashes in Florence although they’ve walked away with all three points two times in the process.
