That’s their longest unbeaten streak in England’s top flight since February 2017, making them one of only six sides across Europe’s traditional top-five leagues to avoid defeat in this period. Despite the Toffees’ undeniable improvement since Moyes’ arrival in January, their last three league matches have ended level, contributing to a league-high 12 draws this season. A scoreless stalemate against West Ham in the reverse fixture highlights the potential for another share of the spoils, though they last drew at Goodison in a league H2H in January 2011 (W7, L5). 

Meanwhile, West Ham also made a dugout change earlier this year as Graham Potter replaced Julen Lopetegui but failed to meet Moyes’ results on Merseyside. Indeed, he has won just three of his eight league fixtures in charge (D1, L4), leading the club to back-to-back victories for the first time this season before being beaten by Newcastle United 1-0 earlier this week. Both wins came ‘to nil,’ which has been the case in West Ham’s all four top-flight triumphs on the road this season. Furthermore, they’ve won none of their last 12 away league games when conceding (D4 L8), highlighting the importance of a sturdy defensive performance. Against this backdrop, they fought back from a deficit to beat Everton 3-1 in last season’s corresponding fixture at Goodison.
