England vs Kosovo 11/09/19
11 September 2019
England and Kosovo go head-to-head at St. Mary’s Stadium for their UEFA European Championship qualifying showdown.
The hosts, who have enjoyed a stellar start to their qualifying campaign, will look to confirm their dominance in Group A in their first-ever H2H meeting with Kosovo. The Three Lions have won all three of their opening qualifiers, scoring a total of 14 goals while conceding just one. After a commanding 5-0 win over the Czech Republic in their Group A home opener, Gareth Southgate’s men have swept Bulgaria aside with a 4-0 home triumph last time out to stretch their home winning run to five games, including friendlies. What’s more, they have not lost a single of their last ten outings within 90 minutes (W7, D3), keeping a clean sheet in six of those matches.
Meanwhile, the visitors’ miraculous start to their first-ever Euro qualifying has seen them win two of four qualifiers (W2, D2). After back-to-back draws with Bulgaria and Montenegro – both ended with the same 1-1 scoreline, the Dardanians have won both of their subsequent qualifiers in which they’ve scored 2+ match goals apiece and struggled to keep a blank sheet. Notably, Bernard Challandes’ side are unbeaten in their last five competitive trips (W2, L3). While each of those stalemates featured under 2.5 goals, both of their wins in that sequence have produced over 4.5 total goals.
