Dunkerque vs Paris Saint-Germain

A place in the Coupe de France grand final is on the line as Dunkerque and Paris Saint-Germain lock horns in their semi-final tie at Stade Marcel Tribut.

PSG’s visit to the Stade Marcel Tribut marks a historic occasion for second-tier Dunkerque, whose only previous Coupe de France semi-final appearance dates back to 1929. The Seasiders have already stunned three top-flight opponents on their way to the last four, most notably mounting a dramatic comeback from two goals down to defeat Brest 3-2 in the quarter-finals. However, their cup heroics have taken a toll on their Ligue 2 campaign. Manager Luís Castro has acknowledged the impact, with Dunkerque suffering three consecutive league defeats while conceding ten goals. That underwhelming run includes a 2-0 defeat at Bastia last weekend, which extended their wait for a clean sheet to five matches.

Meanwhile, PSG’s relentless attack makes a goal drought highly unlikely, and they won’t show any mercy as they pursue a record-extending 16th Coupe de France title. With 79 goals in Ligue 1 this season – more than any other team across France’s top four tiers – they’ve also added 14 more in this competition on their way to the semi-finals. Luis Enrique’s side showcased their firepower in the previous round, demolishing minnows Stade Briochin 7-0. To further unsettle their hosts, PSG dismantled Saint-Étienne 6-1 last weekend, netting five times after halftime to extend their unbeaten run in domestic competitions this season (W27, D5).
