Dijon vs Paris Saint-Germain 13/02/20
13 February 2020
Dijon and Paris Saint-Germain go head-to-head in the Coupe de France quarter-finals at the Stade Gaston Gérard this midweek.
The hosts have failed to build on a promising start to the new calendar year (W3), struggling to pick up a win in four of their last five competitive outings (W1, D2, L2). Still, five of those matches during that eight-game sequence have produced over 2.5 goals (62.5%), with Dijon hitting the opening goal on five of those occasions, too. Les Moutardes have established themselves as a force to be reckoned with when at home lately. Indeed, they’ve racked up an impressive 11-game unbeaten home run in all competitions (W6, D5), keeping a clean sheet in 54.55% (six) of those fixtures. Additionally, Stéphane Jobard’s men have bagged over 1.5 goals in seven of their last eight home matches, finding the net in both halves five times along the way.
Meanwhile, the visitors have got off to a flying start to 2020, winning all but one of their 11 competitive outings since the turn of the year (D1). Notably, nine of their triumphs during that run saw PSG open the scoring and net over 1.5 goals, with six of them yielding a clean sheet. What’s more, the Parisians have won ten consecutive away matches in all competitions, shutting out their opponents in six while restricting the rivals to precisely one goal per game in the other four. Interestingly, none of their seven competitive trips to Dijon has ended in a draw (W5, L2), with five of those results (win/loss) seeing the winner on the day ship exactly one goal.
