Denmark vs Republic of Ireland 20/11/18

20 November 2018

Denmark and the Republic of Ireland are set to face-off against each other at the Ceres Park in Aarhus, with hosts looking to cement top spot in the UEFA Nations League B, Group 4 with a potential triumph.

With a record of two wins and one draw, the Danish Dynamite top their respective group, and they are heading towards the League A regardless of the outcome of this match. Age Hareide’s players have failed to outplay Ireland in the first meeting, having played out a scoreless draw in Dublin. However, thanks to two wins over Wales, including the one on the road a few days ago, Tin Soldiers don’t have any reason to worry ahead of the upcoming encounter. Denmark are undefeated in the past four games, in which they’ve failed to keep a clean sheet just once while notching a minimum of two goals on three occasions.

On the other hand, with a record of one draw and two losses, the Boys in Green are nailed to the bottom of the table, having lost both matches against the Dragons, while managing to dodge a failure against Denmark. However, Martin O’Neill’s players have just one triumph in the previous ten encounters, having played out four draws while losing five times in the process. A disastrous form has seen the Green Army failing to find the back of the net six times in the past ten meetings. Meanwhile, they’ve only kept a clean sheet two times in eight matches in 2018, which gives the former Aston Villa manager a sizeable headache.

Provisional line-up – Republic of Ireland:
