Denmark vs Georgia 11/06/19

11 June 2019

Denmark will kick-off their home campaign at Euro qualification as they welcome Georgia to Telia Parken in Copenhagen.

Although unbeaten all six competitive games since exiting the World Cup, Åge Hareide’s men have secured just two triumphs across those meetings (W2, D4), with both of those wins seeing them score precisely two goals per match. After picking up just two points in their opening two Euro qualification games, the hosts look to post their first victory of the campaign, although a four-game winless run (D4) won’t encourage home fans. Four of Denmark’s last five outings have seen both teams score, with the red-whites scoring 2+ match goals on three occasions in the process. Danish Dynamite’s slow start to the game can be a problem here, with all six of their previous goals coming after the halftime break.

Meanwhile, the visitors have managed to bounce back following back-to-back losses at the start of their ECQ campaign, securing a comfortable 3-0 home win over Gibraltar. Impressively, Crusaders have finished top of their respective UEFA Nations League group with a record of five wins and a draw. Notably, four of those triumphs have been accompanied by a clean sheet, with Georgia scoring 2+ match goals on four occasions too. But, nine of their previous away tournament qualifiers (ECQ/WCQ) that Vladimír Weiss’s men have played over the past two years, they won just two (W2, D4, L3). All three of their defeats in that span have ended with the same 1-0 scoreline against their favor.
