Chelsea vs Everton 11/11/18

11 November 2018

After a routine 1-0 triumph over BATE Borisov in the Europa League, Chelsea will host Everton at Stamford Bridge, looking to extend an outstanding 16-game lossless streak across all competitions.

With another success in Europe, the Blues have remained the only Premier League side that are yet to suffer a failure since the start of the season. With a record of eight wins and three draws, the London-based outfit currently trail Manchester City by two points, having clinched three victories in the previous four league clashes. Maurizio Sarri’s players have won four out of six home matches this season, having played out two draws to Manchester United and Liverpool in the process. With 27 goals notched, the Pensioners have the 2nd-best goal scoring record in the English top flight behind the Citizens, as they’ve only failed to find the back of the net once in the opening eleven fixtures. Although Chelsea kept a clean sheet five times so far, they’ve only managed to protect their net on one occasion at home.

On the other hand, the constant oscillations and numerous ups and downs have so far highlighted Everton’s season, who currently reside in the 9th place with a record of five wins, three draws, and three losses. The Toffies’ principal problem relates to their road performance, as they’ve collected just five points in five games away from Goodison Park. Furthermore, Marco Silva’s players are yet to keep a clean sheet on the road, having allowed nine goals so far. However, the Liverpool-based side shined over the past few weeks, having secured four triumphs in the last five Premier League encounters, only losing to Manchester United in the process. Everton score an average of 1.73 goals per match, as they’ve only missed to finding the back of the net once this season.
