For the second game running, Burnely take on one of the last season’s Premier League (PL) top-six sides as Arsenal arrive at Turf Moor.

After beating Manchester United on the road 2-0 last time out, the hosts will now be looking to bring a disastrous 10-game losing PL run against Arsenal to a halt and possibly stretch their league winning streak to three games. According to Burnley’s PL home record this season (W6, D6), this showdown is unlikely to end in a draw, but the fact that four of their six PL home failures came against the teams from the upper half of the table indicates this may not end well for them. With five of their six PL triumphs at Turf Moor being accompanied by a clean sheet, it will be vital for Sean Dyche’s men to shut Arsenal out to keep their hopes of posting their elusive first win in PL H2Hs alive.

Unlike their rivals, the visitors have played out more away draws than any other side in England’s top-flight (7), with six of them featuring goals on both ends. Much of Arsenal’s struggling away from home is caused by their frustratingly slow starts, with Mikel Arteta’s men shipping the opening goal in eight of 12 PL road trips so far this campaign. Another huge reason for concern is that Arsenal won just twice in nine league matches under Arteta (D5, L2), scoring one goal or less in six of those clashes. Probably the only consolation for the traveling fans is that both of Arsenal’s away wins arrived against the sides from the bottom half of the table, with all four goals they’ve scored across those successes coming in the second half.
