Brighton vs Manchester United 05/05/18
5 May 2018
Brighton & Hove Albion are set to host Manchester United at the Amex Stadium looking for at least a point that will see them securing Premier League football for another season. The Seagulls are without a victory in last seven matches, six of them in the Premier League and one in the FA Cup, while the Red Devils won seven out of previous eight EPL games cementing the second place on the table right behind Manchester City. It will be the third time these two sides face each other this season, with Jose Mourinho’s team beating Brighton in both Premier League and the FA Cup. Chris Hughton is hoping his side can end the three-game winless streak in front of the home supporters although it will be far from easy considering Manchester United performance over the last couple of weeks, as they’ve won three consecutive matches on the road, including a stunning 3-2 victory over the Citizens after coming back from a two-goal deficit.
Steve Sidwell will be the only injured player in the home squad. As for the visitors, Mourinho will have all of his players fit and ready for the encounter except Sergio Romer, who is yet to recover from a knee injury.
