Borussia Dortmund (2) and Bayern Munich (1) go head-to-head in a massive top-of-the-table Bundesliga (BL) clash at the Signal Iduna Park this midweek.

With just four points separating the sides ahead of the kick-off, the hosts desperately need a victory to keep their dream of overthrowing Bayern at the top alive. ‘Die Borussen’ enter this round on a run of six consecutive league triumphs, five of which have yielded a clean sheet. In turn, Lucien Favre’s men have secured five straight BL home victories ahead of this matchup, shutting out their rivals on four of those occasions. Equally outstanding away from home, the ‘Bavarians’ have racked up a five-game winning BL run on the road, scoring over 2.5 goals per match four times in the process. Additionally, quick-fire Bayern have opened the scoring in 11 of 13 BL road trips this season, failing to hold on to an early lead only twice across such games (D1, L1).
