Bologna vs Torino 03/08/20

03 August 2020

Although they’ve lost three of their last four Serie A matches (W1), Bologna will be looking to sign off in style when they take on out-of-form Torino at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara this weekend.

The hosts have suffered a notable dip in form going down the final stretch of the season, picking up only one win from their last seven Serie A fixtures (D2, L4). A 4-0 thumping to Fiorentina at the midweek now means the ‘Greyhounds’ have failed to keep a blank sheet in 32 consecutive league matches! A scandalous defending has seen Bologna concede over 1.5 goals in five of their last seven Serie A outings, with 12 of the 17 goals they shipped across those games coming in the second half of play. But, given that all four of Bologna’s previous league home clashes witnessed both teams score, Sinisa Mihajlovic’s men are confident of getting on the scoresheet here.

Meanwhile, the visitors have failed to pick up a win in four straight Serie A games going into the season finale (D2, L2), with the last three seeing both sides hit the net. But, it’s been a dismal 2020 for Torino on the road. Before playing out a 1-1 draw with basement boys SPAL on their latest trip, the ‘Maroons’ had suffered eight consecutive defeats away from home in Serie A. Moreno Longo’s players have shipped an average of 2.55 goals across those nine trips, with 65.22% (15) of the 23 goals conceded across those fixtures coming after the break. They now face a formidable challenge of a Bologna side they’ve failed to win against in all three of their last top-flight H2Hs held at this venue (D2, L1).
