Barcelona vs Real Valldolid 30/10/19
30 October 2019
Barcelona and Real Valladolid go head-to-head at the Camp Nou, as the home side look to maintain a 100% percent start to their La Liga home campaign.
The Catalans return to the LL summit after seeing their massive showdown against Real Madrid rescheduled due to civil unrest in Catalonia. Nonetheless, they are in good shape ahead of this fixture, having put together six straight wins all competitions, home and away. Huge pre-match favorites, the reigning champions will be looking to post their tenth victory in their 12th top-flight home H2H meeting with Valladolid (W9, D2). Ernesto Valverde has every reason to aim high here, as his side won all four of their opening LL home matches, scoring at least four goals in three. What’s more, 16 of their 23 LL goals scored so far have come at home (69.56), with Barca netting at least two first-half goals at home three times already.
The visitors, meanwhile, travel to the Camp Nou on a five-game unbeaten LL run (W2, D3), with three of those fixtures seeing them keep a clean sheet. For ‘Pucelanos’ goals have been in short supply so far, as only one of their ten LL matches has featured over 2.5 goals. Interestingly, however, two of their three league triumphs this season have come away from home (W2, D2, L2), with both witnessing them score exactly two goals. Action in Valladolid’s away matches usually starts after the break, with 12 of 13 total goals across their LL road fixtures coming in the second half.
