Barcelona vs Osasuna

Barcelona’s La Liga title quest continues at Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys against out-of-form Osasuna.

Despite falling to ten men inside 22 minutes of their midweek Champions League clash against Benfica, Barcelona claimed a precious 1-0 first-leg win to set one foot in the quarter-finals. Last weekend’s home league clash against Real Sociedad was much more convincing, considering Hansi Flick’s charges won 4-0 on this ground to maintain a one-point lead on second-placed Atletico Madrid. ‘Los Blaugranas’ have gone from strength to strength in 2025, winning 13 of their 16 competitive games this calendar year (D3). Another triumph looks inevitable as Barcelona have won their last four home league meetings with Osasuna without conceding, with two yielding an identical 4-0 scoreline.

Another emphatic defeat looms for Osasuna as they face the division’s most prolific side which has netted 71 goals after 26 La Liga rounds! For context, the visitors have scored 32 after a goal-glutted 3-3 draw against Valencia last weekend. That result extended Osasuna’s underwhelming run to four consecutive league games without winning (D3, L1), seeing them fall five points behind sixth-placed Real Betis. As one of the league’s worst traveling teams, Osasuna can’t expect a miracle in Catalonia, having won just one of their 12 away league matches this season (D6, L5), courtesy of a 2-0 victory at Real Sociedad in October.
