AS Roma vs Torino 19/01/19

19 January 2019

AS Roma and Torino will face-off at the Stadio Olimpico in the encounter that will open Saturday’s Serie A action.

The Giallorossi have gone from five straight games without a victory in all competitions to four wins in the last five competitive outings. Eusebio Di Francesco’s men have racked up a three-game winning run ahead of this round, scoring nine while conceding only one goal in the process. Not only they are unbeaten in their last four home games in all competitions (W3, D1), but La Lupa have scored over 1.5 goals per match in each, keeping a clean sheet just once though. Eight of Roma’s last ten competitive games at the Stadio Olimpico have produced over 2.5 goals with Roma scoring over 2.5 goals per match six times in that period.

On the other hand, the visitors have won only one of their last six competitive games (W1, D3, L2), with five of those meetings producing under 2.5 goals. Although they are unbeaten in all of their ten road trips in all competitions, the Maroons have secured only two victories so far. No Italian team has played out more draws than Il Toro (8) this season, with all of their last four road clashes ending without a winner. Furthermore, seven of Torino’s eight stalemates have produced under 2.5 goals, with the Maroons scoring over 1.5 goals per match only twice in the process.

Roma have won their last eight H2H meetings with Torino at the Stadio Olimpico in Serie A, scoring over 1.5 goals per match in each. The previous six H2H meetings between the two at this venue have produced over 2.5 goals with four of them saw both teams hitting the target.
