AC Milan vs Frosinone 20/05/19
20 May 2019
AC Milan’s last Serie A home game of the season sees them welcome relegated Frosinone to the Stadio San Siro.
The hosts are still hunting a top-four finish as they currently sit three points adrift of fourth-placed Atalanta with two league games left to go. The Rossoneri have won three of their last five SA matches (W3, D1, L1) – all by a narrow one-goal margin, with four of those clashes featuring under 2.5 goals. If the Milanese giants win here, it will probably be with a clean sheet given the fact four of their five SA home triumphs in 2019 saw them beat their rivals to nil. A potential worry for Gennaro Gattuso could be that his players have scored one goal or less in four of their previous six home outings across all competitions while keeping a blank sheet just twice in the process.
Meanwhile, the visitors have endured a genuinely disappointing league campaign that has seen them pick up barely five wins in 36 SA fixtures (W5, D9, L22). What’s more, they have failed to wrap up three points in all five of their previous SA outings (D1, L4), conceding over 1.5 match goals four times while scoring one goal or less on four occasions too. Interestingly, though, four of Frosinone’s five SA wins this term have arrived away from home, with three of them coming against teams from the bottom half of the table. Immense problems in the final third have seen the Canaries fail to score in 10 of 18 SA road games, netting just 15 away goals so far – league’s third joint-worst record.
