AC Milan vs Bologna 19/07/20
19 July 2020
AC Milan welcome Bologna to the Stadio San Siro, looking to bring an unbeaten run in the Serie A H2Hs to nine games (W7, D1).
The hosts pulled off a 3-1 turnaround to beat Parma at home and bring an unbeaten run in Serie A to seven matches (W5, D2). Indeed, the ‘Rossoneri’ have been ruthless in front of goal lately, netting over 1.5 goals in all seven of their top-flight matches since the resumption of football. Particularly dangerous after the break, Stefano Pioli’s side scored 16 of the 20 goals they managed during that seven-game sequence in the second half of play. In turn, the majority (72.73%) of their 22 Serie A home goals scored this season came in the second 45 minutes (16), with Milan finding the net at least once inside the final 15 minutes of play in seven of 16 league home fixtures.
Despite winning just two of seven Serie A games post restart (D3, L2), the visitors have been a fun side to watch. All six of their previous league outings have featured both teams scoring, with four producing over 2.5 goals, too. But, away from home in Serie A, the ‘Greyhounds’ have won four of seven fixtures this calendar year (D1, L2) despite failing to keep a clean sheet in each of those trips. The ‘clean-sheet’ theme seems to be off the table here, too, given that Sinisa Mihajlovic’s men have shipped over 1.5 goals in each of their last three travels to the San Siro (L3). Interestingly, 53.85% of Bologna’s Serie A away goals conceded this season arrived before the break (14/26).
